9/11 HEROES RUN
The 9/11 Heroes Run brings communities throughout the country and around the world together to honor the sacrifices of all of the Heroes of September 11th - veterans, first responders, military, and civilian. We honor the fallen by challenging the living.
This is a run for charity with 50% of race proceeds being donated directly back to local 501(c)(3)'s whom also strive to honor the fallen, or those who continue to serve our country every day for our freedoms and safety.
Volunteer, Run, or just come out to cheer and watch - it promises to be a great time. Make sure you stop by our Operation Lone Star - Texans Supporting Our Troops' table and support our troops! If you're undecided about participating ask yourself, "if not me, then who..."

Salutes American
Heroes Veterans Day
Parade
November 11th
Operation Lone Star - Texans Supporting Our Troops will again be participating in this year's Annual Houston Salutes American Heroes Veterans Day Parade with our own personally designed float. Come to downtown Houston and enjoy all the marching bands, military vehicles, floats, and marching military units as we pay tribute to all our American Heroes. Operation Lone Star - Texans Supporting Our Troops will again be attending Hempstead's Watermelon Run For The Fallen. This is a 5K Run/Walk/Roll honoring all of our Fallen Heroes. There are festivities to be held at the high school where the race will begin. There really is watermelon served following the race in addition to the reading of the names of the Fallen. Operation Lone Star will not have a booth at this event, but will be participating in the race and we hope to see everyone come out and enjoy the day. WREATHS ACROSS
AMERICA - HOUSTON
In December
Operation Lone Star - Texans Supporting Our Troops will once again be participating in the Wreaths Across America - Houston wreath placement event being held at the Houston National Cemetery located at Veterans Memorial & TC Jester, Houston, TX. For anyone not familiar with this tradition, wreaths are placed on the headstones of some of our Nation's fallen heroes to honor them during the holiday season. The ceremony (including presenting the seven large wreaths that represent one for each branch of the services and the MIA/POW's) is held prior to the wreath placement.
